Varilrix is a vaccine used to prevent chickenpox. Chickenpox is caused by a virus called the varicella-zoster virus. VARILRIX vaccine contains a weakened form of the chickenpox (varicella-zoster) virus.
Each 0.5 mL reconstituted dose contains:
- ≥103.3 plaque-forming units of live attenuated varicella-zoster virus (Oka strain)
- lactose
- mannitol
- sorbitol
- neomycin
